Kubo is an upholstered sound-absorbing cube that is particularly suitable for installation in areas with very high ceilings (above three metres). The ceiling fastening system with a steel cable attached to a corner of the cube lets you create various arrangements that meet the specific acoustic needs of different venues. For example, let’s take a recreational area inside a nursery or a school: in this environment, we need to reduce the reverberation produced by several voices talking at once which, in turn, increase the background noise, affecting the children’s psychophysical well-being. Kubo can solve this problem by guaranteeing maximum acoustic comfort and subsequently reducing the mental fatigue caused by high reverberation times.
The product has many different features: Kubo has thicker sound-absorbing material than other Caruso Acoustic products, 400 mm and 500 mm, allowing greater absorption of low frequencies. Its small size means it takes up little space inside a room, while also filtering light better in between the cubes.
It’s the perfect solution not just for educational recreational areas, but also sports facilities, amusement arcades and hotel or airport waiting rooms. You can choose from a wide range of fabric colours so this sound-absorbing cube can customise the area in question, giving it a distinctive identity. By fully customising these sound-absorbing cubes, your acoustic requirements can be integrated with any aesthetic needs.
Effective acoustic absorption, durability and safety: Caruso sound-absorbing panels have been conceived and designed to guarantee the best acoustic absorption performance, with special emphasis on their choice of materials.
The internal sound-absorbing material are 400 mm and 500 mm thick and available in Basotect® melamine resin by Basf®s.
Available in a wide range of colours, the finishing fabric is Oeko-Tex certified, while the internal sound-absorbing materials undergo repeated production checks to guarantee the highest quality and performance over time.
The very favourable weight/surface ratio is essential for easy installation, but also for any removal and relocation needed to carry out regular maintenance work at the venue, e.g. painting.
The Kubo sound-absorbing cube is available in sizes of 40 x 40 x 40 cm and 50 x 50 x 50 cm. Its small size means it takes up little space inside a room and thanks to its special fastening system with a steel cable, this sound-absorbing cube can be effectively positioned to meet the different comfort needs of its intended environment.
Elements with special measurements can be made upon request for specific project requirements.
